Posted: 6/5/05 at 4:59pmAbout a quarter-century ago I saw him in BENT, and thought he was perfectly wonderful. Since then, I think he's matured over the years into a lovely film actor. And anyone who is friends with the Dalai Lama can't be bad, in my book.

Guys, I'm coming out of the closet... I too enjoyed his performance in Chicago. *Stands next to Gavrochegirl*
Anyway, I know a little about the Gerbil Incident, but I'm kinda fuzzy on the details...

Posted: 6/5/05 at 5:15pmI think Richard Gere is such an underrated actor. He's gotten better with age. He's still sexy-as-all-hell. I love it that he has this strong side but he's also spiritually in tune with himself and has a sensitive side. Love him.

Don't like him... never have, and I didn't think he was that great in Chicago. Hugh Jackman would have done better

Well I love him, but I DRAW the line with the gerbils!!!!!! That is sick and cruel......more than anything I feel bad for the little gerbils
Still, if I were one, I guess I'd rather die inside of Richard Gere's ass, then be zapped by a mean old snake!!!!!!

The gerbil urban legend was a libel promulgated by homophobes to dehumanize and villainize all gays.
