Glitter and Be gay, and Gimme Gimme. Is one a ballad or an upbeat song? Also, are either of these songs considered narrative, or songs that tell stories rather than express a characters feelings? Thanks!!!

Ummm. Glitter and be Gay would be considered legit I believe. It's upbeat, but mostly because of all of the coloratura passages. I suppose it tells a story to some extent, but the character is expressing how she is forced to do rather sordid things but on the other hand, she really does enjoy the jewelry she's been given.

Gimme Gimme, I'm not sure about. It begins like a ballad, but then just repeats basically the same thing over and over again with increasing tempo and volume. It doesn't tell a story.

I hope these ramblings are of a some help! =)
