...when he tries to take his seat at noon today?

Police escort out? Dramatic yelling and fisticuffs? Charges of racism?

He presented his credentials to the Secretary of the Senate and they were rejected. So as quickly as he arrived at the Senate he left and now his lawyers will take the next step.

If he's qualified should he be allowed to get the seat?

I don't know much about him, but I say as long as he's in no way involved in the "selling" scandal, and he's qualified, let him stay.

He certainly has a lot of political experience.

He is as qualified as a number of sitting senators (on both sides) but there are definitely more qualified people from the state of Illinois who could fill that seat. I'm not sure that Reid has a legal leg to stand on but that is something that the courts will have to decide.

Reid is a total idiot and this move to block Burris is just one more stupid thing that he has done. The country is in real trouble - this fight is not important.

News sources are reporting that Buris WILL be seated as the Junior Senator from Illinois.

It's odd that Reid has done nothing to remove the corrupt lying incompetent President from office but is making a big stink over Burris.

I think everyone involved watched themselves on the news last night and feels foolish this morning. They will come to a compromise quickly and Burris will be seated.

AP's reporting that 'they're making moves towards seating Burris'. I guess next year they'll give him a desk.
