Where were all you hard-asses when I needed you? . Boy, you guys are tough!

You're going to think I'm a big wimp, but they offered to comp me for one night and I took it. I told them that it wasn't really about the money because I'm not actually paying the bill...it was the principle.

They were very nice and I know I should have been more demanding but I just didn't want to rant like a banshee.

I guess I should still write a letter though.

It's so funny that you guys wanted me to take pictures because all I wanted to do was get rid of them. I was in my room flailing about, thoughts of "Alice's Restaurant" swimming in my head: "KILL!!! KILL!!!"

Of course, the photos would be a nice addition to the letter!

Oh Miss P, you got NOTHING out of this deal. A letter should be written. (It's easier to be a hardass in a letter ) Just state the dates and the number of complaints. Come right out and say that you don't feel that one night's comp is enough (because it isn't.) Ask if that is the normal way they handle guests when there is an insect infestation. Let them know that if it is, in the future you will be taking your business elsewhere and encouraging everyone you know to do the same.

JG, you make an EXCELLENT point! I am the one who endured the agony, yet my organization benefits and not me!

Will you guys help me with the letter? I'll do a draft and you can add your comments, suggestions for revision and recommendations for improvement.

This will be fun! (Damn! I wish I had photos!)

As I said before, get comped for a future visit, so we can all have a BWW party.

Since this was business travel, why give your company the benefit when you are the one who suffered!

Hmmm......

If it were me...

They would have comped my entire stay.
I would also get something for a free stay at another one in the chain.
I would have reported them to the health department AND BBB

and the idiot who did nothing who you spoke to first, would be looking for another job.

I travel too much for business (as do you) to not get all of that.

Next time, GRAB your, well....um....well you know, and let them have it!

Keep in mind that I probably slept a total of about 3 hours last night, so I lacked strength and focus.

Otherwise, I would have beat the living crap out of them.
