When is the funeral scheduled for the OFF-TOPIC BOARD? It seems to have died a slow and lingering death.

I suspect the powers that be at BWW decided to eventually kill the off-topic board when it was no longer listed under the "CHAT" menu at the top of the page you're reading. I suspect the very justified rancor around political issues in the Trump era - a phenomenon I've very much been a part of - contributed to this decision.
It's definitely sad. There really was a time when quirky characters would post multiple threads each day about topics various and sundry. To be honest, it was a little intimidating for those of us not part of the core group, but it sure was fun to read.

Thank goodness. The only positive thing about this board now is that it keeps some of the clutter away from the "Broadway Forum". Basically, the only threads that get any replies are the political ones with the same 4-5 posters saying this country and Trump (and his supporters) suck. After a while, that becomes very boring IMO.

The main poster who kept OT board alive for a while was "Jay Lerner-Z". He has basically disappeared in 2025 and that could be due to him getting suspended once again, hope that is not true. He replied to me in a PM I sent him earlier this year he was not going to be on this board as much and seems to be keeping his word. Also, poster "Highland Guy" would post a bit, and he is fighting cancer so totally understandable he has more concerns to deal with then BWW OT board.
Several weeks ago, I created a thread on my visit to "Rock & Roll HOF in Cleveland. I thought it would be fun to share my experience and joy visiting the HOF. The only reply was one of the usual liberal "trolls" who posted his usual political stuff that had nothing to do with subject of the thread. I reported it to the moderator, and it was deleted quickly which I appreciated. It was then I decided not to bother posting on the OT board and making this post the only exception.
