Where To Get The Cheapest TICKETS in NYC

Hey all,
I'm going to NYC (im up here in Canada) with my Musical Theatre College on Feb.25th-Mar 5th and I have never been there before. So needless to say, I'm quite clueless about the whole thing.
If anyone could give me an idea of where the cheapest places to get Broadway/Off-Broadway tickets that would be amazing.

If you're a college student, probably straight from the box office with your student ID.

So there are some pretty good student deals then? If I stood in line at 7ish in the morning and waited for tickets to shows like SPAMALOT, do you think that would work well?

Spamalot is standing room only tickets, so I'm not sure.
