I don't have a picture, but I am seeing these tote bags all over campus, and I'm wondering where people are getting them from.
They have a brown leather handle, a brown flap, and a zipper over the top. I've seen them to a fairly medium-large size. They also seem to be in very earthy/dark colors such as green, red, and black.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? Where can I get one???
Also, I go to college in Boston, so I don't know if they are as popular in NYC...hopefully someone knows what I am talking about. Thanks.
Never mind...figured it out. I'm thinking of the Longchamp totes.
I got my mom one of those Longchamp bags for her birthday a couple of years ago, and she still uses it. It's very reasonable priced, and stylish.
I actually got it from the Longchamp store on Newbury St., but I think they sell them at Saks or wherever.

Saks? $135? For a bag to carry text books in? Man, things have sure changed since I was in college. We used a $5 canvas tote from Union Hall and spent the rest of the money on Beer.
I checked the Longchamp website and the first bag I looked at was $900. College students are carrying these around? I'm with Joe. Only I spent about $7.50. :)
These students are probably not on financial aid...
Yeah, I only spent about $15 on a messenger bag from Old Navy to carry all of my stuff around in. I still use it from time to time.
