From an article on Kurt Vonnegut in the USAToday, for everyone to share. It seemed appropriate to put in the Pink Lady's thread
"But then again there is the humanistic Vonnegut, honorary president of the Humanist Association: In A Man Without a Country, he repeats something his Uncle Alex used to say when they were sitting under an apple tree, chatting and drinking lemonade.
"Uncle Alex would suddenly interrupt the agreeable blather to exclaim, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.' "
It is a saying he now carries around with him, and he urges everyone to "please notice when you are happy."

That's gorgeous, you guys!
What a great way to spend my free period, imaging rainbows (and then eating lunch before my HELL class)

Who, me? Yes, yes, I've been told that before.
Oh, you mean the picture!
How lovely it would be to lie in the sun with someone elevating my bum foot for me whilst feeding me grapes. Too bad I had to pay $250 an hour for that last night!

How about we start the weekend off with a nice afternoon tea party - which, by the looks of it, includes WINE

Rainbow songs and pink parties? Sounds like the perfect Friday to me!
Good morning, to you fine gentlemen!
Hope everyone has something special planned for the weekend. Mine will be filled with family (driving to D'town tonight, SOMMS), which is always wonderful for me.

Happy birthday to those who really have reason to celebrate - and a happy time for those who get to share it with them

We have a fun-filled day of field hockey games, apple picking, and going to find some pumpkins... so, let's hope it doesn't rain. Sunday we'll hit the mall and do some 14th-birthday shopping for my niece. she LOVES to shop!
Dinner at Inn at Phillip's Mill... LOVE that place!

Posted: 10/7/05 at 9:37amYes! Pies! Next weekend that's on the agenda. Apple with a crumb topping.

Posted: 10/7/05 at 9:39amLove to pumpkin pick at None-so-much Farm. I was there last weekend. I have never dined at the Inn at Philip's Mill. Shame on me! This time of year, I miss my apple orchard at my last home.

SOMMS, we have to rectify that! Let's pick a time when we can schedule dinner there!
It's such a pretty time of year in the D'town area... I love all the farms. I think we'll be over in New Hope for a bit, as well.

I know it quite well... I always go with my sister and her family to pick out the Christmas tree. And then we generally stock up on all sorts of new goodies.
But, first, the Fall. My favorite.
