Tough choice. But I have to say Vivien. Both Vivien and Liz were extraordinary beauties, it might rest on their make-up artists! I'm not that fond of the 50's "look" comparatively.

Vivien Leigh was the most gorgeous woman in the world. She was classy and her beauty wasn't cookie-cutter perfect like Princess Grace's was. She was very natural looking and had definite imperfections...but her imperfections were what made her so incredibly beautiful. As an actress, she is my IDOL. I adore her. She had such power and intensity on screen, but it never seemed forced. Her Blanche DuBois is something that will never, ever be matched as far as I'm concerned.

I agree that Vivien's Blanche DuBois is pretty awesome. I would, however, have liked to see it done originally on Broadway by Jessica Tandy - another of the most amazing actresses of our time.
