Hiya, brd - hope the family time was fun!
And, from my perspective, pretty much everything between 1 and 25 is a nasty age

Posted: 8/12/07 at 8:44pmDG, we had a very nice time. All are tired here. Great time with my parents and siblings. I ranted at some of the grandkids for their terrible behaviour. That might be a thread of its own later.

Evening all - Shira, sorry all of the cheap tickets were already sold out by the time our turn arrived.
I honestly was not that overwhelmed by the show!

Jersey Boys - Meh - I would not pay to see it again (I was also in a foul mood).
DG - Things could be better - my unit has not sold yet, and I think I am getting caught in the current downdraft - I may have to rent it out and I am planning contingencies. At least I have enough money for the downpayment but no extra fun for me for a while until it is resolved. I have about another month to sell it or decide to rent it out.
If you know of anyone who wants a nice starter place on the westside ...
Otherwise, work is good.

Posted: 8/12/07 at 10:22pmY, the value of my place has decreased at least 150K in the last year! The market is horrible in my hood.

It is just funny (in a sick way).
I spoke to a couple of "experts" and they said that where I live is in such demand, it should not hurt us. I was doubtful.
I may end up renting my place out and try to sell it in a couple of years.
This is one time I wish I was not proven right!
BTW - you must have a nice house!

Posted: 8/12/07 at 10:34pmY, it is a VERY small house, but a nice lot in a previously hot neighborhood. I did spend every dime I have on a new bathroom and roof.

Posted: 8/13/07 at 12:33pmIt's been in the 60's, tink. We don't complain too much... and I really don't mind the temperature. I do mind it being overcast, since it's overcast 9 months out of the year as it is.

Dame, I am glad to know I was not the only one with a "meh" reaction to it.
I just don't understand all of the buzz - it was OK, but I actually preferred Chaperone, Bee and Wicked.

I enjoyed it. The same way you enjoy revue shows at Disneyland.

Well, I am not a huge fan of the Disney shows either (sorry Erika!) so I guess that explains it!
People do love it though, there were over 50 people in line by 11:20 on Thursday to try and get Hottix.

Well, I enjoy it, but I disliked Spring Awakening. We all have different opinions and that is just fine!
I'm seeing "On Your Toes" at Reprise! and then Hershey Felder's "Monsieur Chopin" at the Geffen in the next two weeks, so those should be fun!

Posted: 8/13/07 at 5:06pmI am looking forward to seeing the Boys in December. In the meantime, Young Frankenstein will have to suffice.
