I get that Liotte.
Too bad I've got too much crap to do, and I have a car picking me up at 6 a.m. Boo.

Shira, are you off to do a photo shoot?
The winds of change are blowing at the firm and my banker's hours are ending soon!

Banker's hours
The hours a banker keeps. In idiomatic use, the phrase is often a synonym for a shorter-than-normal work day or work week, as banks used to close earlier than most businesses and take more holidays.

I am not that lazy, but I do like to leave at 5!
I read some London Wicked reviews on the main board, I really hoped to get there this year. (my wife has family in England, Scotland and Wales)

Posted: 9/7/06 at 11:36pmBrd, its not quite a photo shoot. More like 200 some-odd debutantes, their families, and all that jazz. It's exhausting.

Shira, the only knowledge of that world I have is from the old tv show, Rags to Riches, in which one of the girls was entered into a debutante contest.
Brd, if I left work by 5 everyday, there is no way I could pull myself away from doing lottos every single day! Now by leaving later, I don't see shows as often. Which is good. In some ways.

Posted: 9/7/06 at 11:41pmBrd, I do it every year with my Dad. It's our father-daughter-business time.

It's not bad. I mean, its exhausting, and I always get a good shot of adrenaline when I do it.
But as for father-daughter. Well, its the only time we spend together that's NOT a lecture or about veganism or my weight.

#3192re: Who Needs A Mojito Time? ( Part 6 - total decadence)
Posted: 9/7/06 at 11:55pmIt would have to be a pretty high of a check to get me to spend that much time with the parents!

Posted: 9/8/06 at 12:03amYeah, I've already started seeing some of those signs of it changing. Not counting the Hawaii trip and the arguments with my mother.

Posted: 9/8/06 at 12:19amBrdlwyr, I DO get a check. I insist on being treated like ALL other employees when I work with my Dad. Which means, I get my own hotel room, and I get respected and treated (and therefore paid as well), like other employees.
