oops there i go
*falls out*
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy theater and I'm sure I'll get back into the swing of it all when I get back to NYC (finally). But I've been gone since the middle of June, and it's been a really nice break to be away from civilization and just spending a lot of time outdoors and just chilling or running around with the kids at camp.
but but but we're still on for all shook up in nov right?
Of course! I already have my plane ticket for Florida for November, just waiting for those tickets to go on sale. I already bought tickets for ASU for Boston the last weekend in Sept. Only for fri, sat, and sun though.
Wow. Now I understand how the grosses wwill be so low this coming fall...did you warn the producers of all the shows?
Saw "Best of 24 Hour Plays" this evening. Not bad, but I don't see what all the fuss is about.
Saw an amazing apartment today...a bit out of my price range, but REALLY perfect.
Wait, I thought you had a place to live Shira?
Nope. The places in Bklyn ended up being creepy and too far.
Ah, got it.
Good luck with the new search, I know how tough it is! I'll let you know if i hear of anything in the village.
Liotte, when are you back home????

Hi L! Cool night here! I actually walked by the Oriental today! But, it was after the lotto!
Thanks. I found a BEAUTIFUL place today in the West Village. I just left the official "kiss-ass" message. "Hi, it was great meeting you, etc...".
I like this apartment because its a walk up (and if you've seen my butt recently, you'll know I need the bun-firming steps), and has a puppy (which is excellent for mental happiness, according to 3 zillion studies).
Talked it over with the parents. They don't understand why there isn't a huge 1 bedroom in the NYU area for under $1000. Ah, old folks (no offense boys).
Thanks for the luck -- I may need it.

Shira, are you looking for a place with room mates?
Absolutely!! I couldn't afford a studio at this point in my life. And frankly, I like people.

For a grand you get a room mate? Wow! We paid $575 for a two bedroom in 1987, then $410 for a two bedroom dump. In 1990 1250 for a beautiful three bedroom (room mates) and C12 and C11 were born in an $875 two bedroom!
*cries*
I hate real estate. But I love NYC. Such a price we pay (literally!)

C, you are so correct! I am a grumpy old man!
The little baby will soon be 13!
I get back to new york next Monday, I think.
I have no idea about what day it is now, it's all blended together.
brd, you want to bring the Cs and do the bee lotto tomorrow night with me?
Another tween, B!
Hey shira! Brooklyn's not all THAT bad...
I KNOW, Cookie. I KNOW. I just don't know what's good and what's bad. And I've not had enough time to really understand Brooklyn. Though I will soon. I plan on one day understanding every neighborhood and all its intricacies.
I don't do Brooklyn.
