Thanks, Liotte - you have to take all that life brings you, and this is one of those 'gee I'd rather not' moments. But it just doesn't work that way.

Thank goodness for the fond memories, as hard as they are at the moment.

DG: I'm so sorry for your loss! I must say, though, that your pooch was absolutely GORGEOUS, and I'm sure you had many wonderful years together. It's good he's no longer in pain. Poor baby.

Speaking of pain, however, I had dental surgery on Wednesday, and I am still in OODLES of AGONY!

I keep looking at our little girl, Christy, and not knowing what to do. In 10 1/2 years, she and Teddy have only been seperated - and I swear this is not an exageration - 24 hours. She keeps looking at me like, "What's going on?" There's really no way to explain, and that breaks my heart.

On a completely different type of subject, if anybody wants a laugh, check out my band's blog over on MySpace. We (well, I) was interviewed by a German magazine a few months ago, and we just got the hard copies in the mail, so we scanned them and put them up. (The interview's in English in the blog, too.) I just think it's funny. Me, in German. Ha!

Erika - I hope you feel better! Tooth/Mouth pain is the absolute worst!

Finally went out tonight, still feeling a bit under the weather, but way better than the past few days. Went to a bar with some old friends and had a fun and sober night! The momma-in-law is coming over tomorrow so this should be fun!

Thanks, DAME - I swear, just when you think you've reached an age when nothing can surprise you, WHAM! I have never had pets, so taking these two on as step-children has been an interesting journey. And the emptiness and sense of loss is a bit daunting.

And then I see my girl here, and I just melt.

Thankfully, it seems that I have a fabulously entertaining escape available via Germany! I'll just wait til I can approach it with a clearer mind (and I'm NOT referring to the copious amount of bourbon I've consumed this evening - surely not )
