Love Lorna. I've never actually heard Rosalyn Kind sing. Is she any good?
It's Roslyn, kids, and yes. She sounds uncannily like her sister. Looks like her too. I'm sure that has been her problem. If there had been no Barbra, poor Roslyn would have had a nice career.
They both had decent voices, so Rath tells me.......

Maybe she can go on the road with Don Swayze and Frank Stallone.
And DeeDee Pfeiffer.
That's for you, vbplayer.

Ah. DeeDee of "Tough Love" fame...one of my favorite after-school specials.
And Mackenzie Astin. What happened to him?
...They could do a revival of "SideShow".

Mackenzie Astin? I hear he lives in Brooklyn Heights. People keep confusing him with his identical cousin.

For Rath.
I bring up young Mac as he was on one of those former child star shows recently and he seems SO bitter.
Lord of the Rings, anyone?

I read the title of the thread as Richard Kind and Lorna Luft.
I spent a day at Disneyland one time, hanging out with Roslyn and a friend of hers. Love her. She joked when we were standing in line about taking her nephew Jason there as a kid. At one point he turned to her told her, "when I come here with Mommy we don't have to stand in line."
To which she replied, dryly, "Well, you're with your Auntie Roz now, kid."
So, b12, let's answer WalkOn's question and program "Lorna and Roz at Carnegie Hall":
* "Sisters" is an obvious choice
* as is the Judy/Barbra "Get Happy"/"Happy Days" medley
* how about a "Songs HER Sister Taught Me" medley, with Lorna singing Barbra's songs and Roz singing Liza's?
* "No More Tears"/"Enough Is Enough" and maybe a medley of songs from their Studio 54 days

Somewhere in the debris that is known as my life, I have two Roslyn Kind albums on vinyl which I haven't played in about a hundred years. As I recall its a nice voice but a little too close to Big Sis in style.
[Teenage gay show princesses will buy anything, you know.]
One of her covers was from the B picture Wild In The Streets, and is called The Shape of Things to Come. I mention this only because the song has been adapted for use in a car commercial that is either current or fairly recent.
Lorna by all accounts is down to earth and quite talented, but chose not to pursue a big career.

What kind of an act? I thought they closed down those places on 42nd Street?

I love Lorna! I saw her four times in "Guys and Dolls" and many times in "Grease 2". She was even good in that.
Hey Johnny Johnny go for that strike, and I just might be your bay-byyy tonight!!
I used to play that line over and over and be very annoyed that she had only that to sing while that fabulous chanteuse Michelle Pfeiffer sang the rest of the score.

YES, please!!!
It does not matter how bad or good their Mothers were, what a gift Judy and Barbra's mother gave to their daughters....wow Lorna sounds great!!!
