Nonono.he's the guy who WROTE Messiah..
He wrote a bunch of other stuff too, like a rediculous amount, but Messiah was the big one.

We did a production back in the mid-1970's - we updated it. "Muc-cha-cha" had a disco beat - and boy, did we have fun updating the lyrics to "Drop That Name"! "Anna May Wong" became "Erica Jong", etc.

Of course, this was back when people actually still had answering services - answering machines were just coming into vogue.

Speaking of which, I wonder how many young people listen to COMPANY and wonder what the hell "Look, I'll call you in the morning, or my service will explain" means.

Then there are those who think "a piece of Mahler's" refers to some type of pastry - but I digress...

I know a 'Joanne' who first heard the Stritch recording and thought "And one for Mahler" was "And one firm olive". She was terribly surprised when she actually did the show and saw the real lyric.
