When you were younger, didn't you love all those daytime cartoons you were never lucky enough to see because you at school?
Seriously, even as I got older and was sick, I'd watch all these little kid cartoons, it was awesome ha.
The Busy World of Richard Scary
Arthur
Those are just two I can think of now, but there were more... and they differed at different ages.
Anywayz who loved watching all the cartoons you could only see when you were home sick from school? What were some of ya favorites?

You just made me feel a little old when you mentioned Arthur, because that show was not even around when I was younger; but yes I did love staying home to watch the cartoons when I was sick.
I used to watch David the Knomb (sp?)
Grimm's Fairy Tales
Sharon, Lois, and Bram's Elephant Show
Pound Puppies
The Snorks
Muppet Babies
Dennis the Menace

Yea, your all older than me... I don 't really remember those cartoons. some I do, but I was really young.
Arthur, along with whatever other shows were on at the time, were when I was like 10ish maybe? So 8 years old or so.
I dunno why I can't remember the names of the other shows, but there were a lot. They were always the more kiddy shows too... and you could only see 'em when you were sick.
Fun times...

zepka - It's true! When The Jetsons originally aired in 1962, it was a failure and was not picked up for another season. New episodes did not appear until the popularity of the syndication peaked in 1984 (anyone remember the 80s Jetsons merchandise craze?) which accounts for 51 new (albeit inferior) episodes. All 24 original episodes are available on DVD. The Jet Screamer and Las Venus episodes are what I consider to be the greatest episodes of an animated series in television history.
Eep Opp Ork Ah-ah!

haha EM, I was in a children's bookstore today and saw a book by Richard Scarry. It had the cat and worm on the cover! I was excited when I saw it. :)
"does anyone remember animaniacs?"
Uhhhh, duh
lol That was one of the best cartoons ever...along with Tiny Toon Adventures. Oddly enough, my favorite characters were Rita and Runt. It took me a little time to realize that Bernadette Peters was the voice of Rita. I just remember I had loved whenever the cat would sing.
