Posted: 2/26/06 at 1:29pmPretty bad. The guy playing Henry Higgins is just annoying... he's the AD of the theater, and he casts himself in every show. And he has NO range. It's basically HIM with a really bad English accent. The girl playing Eliza has a beautiful voice, though. They also had set changes that were WAY too elaborate for the theater, which made the show even longer.

I would like to see another production before I make that decision myself.
I also wonder if Lerner and Loewe had any concept of the word 'edit.' The spend so much time with the whole father storyline, and I really didn't see the point of it.

My Fair Lady spoiler - if you don't know the show, skip this message
Another thing that p!ss3d me off was that they gave it the movie ending. I think in the stage version she leaves him. But in the movie she comes back at the very end, which I don't understand. I have always hated that ending. I makes no sense to me why she would go back to him.
