Answering an earlier question, she is having an MRI on her knee. I suspect major cartilage damage.

Dame, the wear and tear of old age! It has been a problem for decades, but she re-injured it last year and has tried to cope, but alas no more!

Ugh, sorry about brdwife. I was afraid I'd need surgery for my knees, but my doc said the should be fine in a week or two.

I have only had surgery once- I got an earring back stuck inside my earlobe after an infection when I was 11. I had to get 1 stitch too. My dad gave me whoppers candy though, so I was ok.
