Good evening, all.
Good night, liotte.
Hey all. I'm eating ice cream and maybe reading Anthony Rapp's new book and going to sleep.

DG -- What are you up to, m'dear?
RC! Hello!
Man, I feel like a stranger in a strange land. Haven't been around much lately. Running on 3 hours sleep... will hit the sack in a bit here.
Hi DG- I'm in Pasadena again.
I might actually enjoy the place if I wasn't working so much.
We're on the same time zone!
I had one too many chocolate martinis last night.
Hi DD- Chocolate martini sounds nice, except that I think I'd collapse after about two sips tonight.
I can't go near one tonight. Thank God there was someone else to drive us home.

Well, RC, you'll just have to come back and bring Mom when you can actually enjoy it. I know a pretty good tour guide . . .
Shira - I was actually packing up Christmas decorations. I know, I know - but with 38 boxes of stuff - NOT including the 7 trees - it takes awhile!
DD - is it bad that I have no symapathy for you whatsoever?
Not at all. I totally did it to myself. And had fun doing it.
Tomorrow, I might have a drink or so, depending on how the day pans out. I sure as hell could use one.
7 trees! I thought we were bad when we had 5!
I'm trying to talk mom into coming out, but she doesn't want to leave the daughter home alone. That, and the usual "what will I do while you're working all day?"- which she does have a point about.
I think we'll have to make a separate non-business trip. God knows I'm racking enough miles to get some free tickets.
"what will I do while you're working all day?"
Hm... I can think of quite a few things she could do...
I'm sure she could find things to do here. There really is a here here. I'd have to stay in a better place than this dump, though.
*7* TREES? I knew that, but STILL.
I plan on having 8 Hanukkah Bushes next year. If LG obliges.

RC - you definitely should make it a pleasure trip. And there's a wonderful B & B in South Pasadena called the Artist's Cottage - each room is designed after a specific artist's work - that would probably be more fun!
And you could always bring the goatgirl, you know.
They have you stayin in a dump? How dare they?
You should see the dumps I've stayed in with my father.
We can't bring BGG for her winter vacation because she has rehearsals, otherwise that might be the plan.
I was just looking at the Pasadena Playhouse's web site. Looks like a pretty busy group. I might be tempted to try to get out for L5Y.
They're producing it at Pasadena Playhouse?
I'd so love to see a professional production of the show.

The Playhouse can be hit-and-miss. But when it hits, it's very good. Definitely has very fine production quality, most of the time. And it's a beautiful setting and theatre.

I have to say it seems a little odd to bundle L5Y with I Do, I Do , and then call them 'the marriage musicals'. L5Y is more like a train wreck musical. I love the score, though.
I didn't like "I Do, I Do" so much.
Well folks. It's not even 11 and I'm pretty much dead to the world.
Have a good evening all.
