Posted: 2/20/06 at 3:57pmOne of the nice things about WA state is that we have no state tax. Though we have a high sales tax.

#2053Back to the Mojitos thread 'original' intent.
Posted: 2/20/06 at 4:10pmIt's like 8.6%, I think it's higher for restaurant eating and hotels and rental cars are like 18% or something stupid like that.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 4:13pmThat is pretty high, I actually have no idea what our sales tax here is. I don't shop that much.

Oops - did not see the question.
I live in the Los Angeles area - born and raised!
(There are about 4 of us natives left).

Posted: 2/20/06 at 5:52pmAh, Los Angeles. Home Sweet F***ing Home. (No offense. I miss it. But right now, I despise two people who live there).

Posted: 2/20/06 at 5:56pmJust two? There are plenty more to despise here. There are things I love about LA, and things I hate. Some of the people are pretty damn obnoxious. Almost makes you want to key their leased cars just because . . . not that I ever would.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 5:57pmI just want my puppy. And some other people who I actually like. But I miss driving in LA.

My cats always can have remote godparents - if that helps. They have been claimed by many a godparent who misses their pets.

Luckily, I live in a part of Los Angeles County where I can avoid the freeway to get to work if I have to. My commute is about 1/2 hour. Which, to get 11 miles in LA, is considered a breeze.
But, sometimes the 405 oy!

You are so sweet, moony.
I think I'm going to start taking the bus when I move to Seattle. It'll take about 45 minutes, but the building pays for my bus pass as long as I take the bus 3 days a week. Driving it'll be about 35 minutes.

I like driving as well, I miss it.
I lived in West Hollywood for a few years, I didn't like it there though.
