Cooking. Wow. I'm impressed!
I'm looking forward to Rosh Hashanah, because I'm teaching, which is always nice!

I'm not doing anything for rosh hashanah.
I IMed my sister (the 13 year old) and asked if she wanted to do something for RH tomorrow night. She replied, Like go to temple? I replied Hell no! I was thinking more like dinner and a show or movie!
Reminds me of celebrating Rosh H when I lived in Israel- spent all day at the beach. Ahh, nice.

Oh, Liotte. Where did the Jewishness go? To each her own!
Off to bed.

I know I'm underage, but proverbial alcohol sounds lovely.

I don't know. Rough week. I'm just... blah.
That's quite specific, isn't it?
But this is a happy thread, so I thought I'd pop in. Maybe it'll rub off.

Be careful about asking for rubs around here! Actually, at night - when the 'boys' are out playing - it's pretty safe

Just got off the phone with tech support for my ipod, it's on the fritz and it's annoying as all hell.
I just said that I had been given incorrect info from the box office about standing room tickets, and then to get to the theater today and wait 4 hours for nothing, and since it was sold out I couldn't buy a ticket even. Apparently they knew since Friday that there would be no SRO, so I said I wished they had put a sign at the box office, or a message on the website saying there would not be SRO for that performance. And that box office people shouldn't give incorrect info. I just wanted to bring it to his attention and said that there was probably nothing to do about it now. And of course, I said I heard nice stuff about him and that I loved the show and have seen it multiple times and I was very disappointed to miss this special performance. But alas, they passed along my note, and right before the show started, I got my $25 standing room ticket.

But how did that happen? Did they call you? Where you there trying to get a cancellaion? Did they come out into the lobby and page you?

I kept checking back in at the box office between the lotto ending at 6:10 and the show starting. At first they had nothing, then around 6:45 I checked again and the woman at the box office said that she passed along my note. I replied that I didn't expect anything to come of it, and she said don't be surprised if I get a phone call soon saying to come back to the theater. So no phone call, but I went to check in again around 7:25. Went to the window and after they sold 3 cancellation tickets, the woman said to me Don't go anywhere. So I stayed there in the lobby, she called me over to the window a minute later, and said I've got 1 standing room for you for tonight. I was thrilled and told her that I loved her.

It worked out well and I was very happy to see the show. I'm surprised that writing a letter to the producer actually worked, I may drop off a thank you note next time I am in Times Square. So I guess that's, um, tomorrow?
No actually, no shows til thurs at least for me.

Just got home... long, long day. 2 runs of the show, only 1 missed cue and one early cue. Not bad.
L - excellent getting into the show.
brd... I thought the same thing as your wife (about L5Y), that they're a bit whiny. But on-stage, there's some added dialogue, and they don't come across nearly as whiny as they do on the CD.
