You get in the 22nd? Wait, I can come before Christmas!
That would be cool. Partay! You'll love my sister and niece.
Anyway... I'm off.
Have fun, and keep the leg elevated missy.
Don't break or sprain anything!
And I'll elevate it!
DD;
We are suppose to go to Seattle late this month. But with "Iris" gone for two weeks for his granpas funeral I don't know if he will be able to take off again.
I hope Iris is okay.
Iris is fine.
Good to hear!
And how are you,DAME, on ths evening?
Wrapping Liottes Red Vines.
Oh, nice! I assume she'll be sharing with me!
I am sure she will. I boughther the kind that come in the big bag. I find the other ones are sometimes stale.
Good idea, DAME.
Maybe we'll watch a movie and eat red vines.

Busy night - both girl's teams won their b-ball games. Cleaning the kitchen.

I have maxed out talking to the family through our crisis, Robert is taking a nap, and I'm drinking scotch. Let the games begin!

DG, as I said the other night - I have six sisters and have worked though many issues with some of them and one in particular. Which Scotch tonight?

Basic Glenlivet, tonight brd - when you're going to really let it flow, you don't want to waste the good stuff.
And I plan on drowning the tears in scotch, so it might take a bit of it!
Hurray for your girls' teams

Thanks - they and my wife really enjoy it. I missed C10's game.
I had a bottle of GL 18 which my father enjoyed during his time here in the Spring.

Glenlivet is what I refer to as well scotch
Give me Lagauvalin and Oban, and I'm a VERY happy camper!
The story of your dad in the bar made me laugh - really.

I love that story, it was also a great time in my life and my relationship with my parents. They were younger and more livlier. My father could see and my mother could walk more than a hundred steps.
They came here in January 1993 for 10 days, my wife just learned that she was pregnant with C12. We were both working, we would come home and my god the laundry would be folded, the groceries purchased, food cooked, etc. They were so full of life! And, the great gay bar story.

Well, see, at this point you should be coming home to the kids having done all that!
Age is an interesting leveler - but each stage has its purpose, and something to teach those around you who have to deal with you through it
Tears, DG?
Well, I'm currently running five loads of laundry...darks, lights, towels, sheets, and comforter.
Too much!

True, Dg, and my Spring with my father is well documented in the old Moji thread as a special time. My wife was there for most, but those drives to and from the VH are etched in my memory.
We do need to work on the kids about chores!

Shira - the sister situation is becoming more of a horror show. He hasn't ever regained consciousness - I had thought that he had. And they're saying now that there's definitely some damage, but they can't tell how much til he evens out somewhat. All VERY distressing for everyone concerned.
Hence the scotch.
And YOU, Missy Shira, need to go look at my post about appropriate imbibements for the right time of day!
Kids and chores...
Start them off easy, like cleaning the table off. Then work up to doing the dishes, which they will shrug off and avoid with my favorite "If you HONESTLY believe that loading the dishwasher is more important than my homework and future education, I'll do it!".
I AM MAKING TOLL HOUSE COOKIES.
