It was good, ended up seeing Sweet Charity after losing W/SB lottos. My second time seeing it, Christina has gotten better (last time I saw it was in May), very nice at the stagedoor after the show.
How was your night, besides tv and not feeling well?

Read it and weep:
Background: In this progression, we have been working with three readings directly concerned with aspects of higher education: Martha Nussbaum’s chapter “Citizens of the World” from her book Cultivating Humanity, David Denby’s chapter “Homer I” from his book Great Books, and Mark Edmundson’s essay “On the Uses of a Liberal Education” from Harper’s magazine. Several other related readings (Rodriguez and Friere) may also be used. This assignment asks you to develop a meaningful conversation among at least three of these readings and then to enter into it yourself.
Assignment: Write an essay of 1500-2000 words in which you develop your own view about some aspect of contemporary higher education in relation to at least three of the writers named above.

Believe me, I know.
Granted 2,000 words isn't THAT much, but it still has to be written!
