Good luck Millie! Just remember that Labor Day is right around the corner!

Addy, in theory, it sounds wonderful.... but you've never met this class.
I have worked with lots of kids but I have never encountered so many strong personalities in one class before. I hope that there was just a strange effect of the full moon last week!
I love the idea of 2 and 3 year olds with strong personalities! But, yes, that IS a challenge! The full moon is over, I think... hope this week goes more smoothly!
brdlwyr, any word on the weather forcast in Chicago for the weekend?
Cheers! *lifts vodka tonic with extra lime in honor of the new thread!*

Millie - my kids start school tomorrow. It is will be a long few weeks of transition.
Mmmm...SOMMS, that sounds delicious!
Addy-
The weekend's...a slight bit past over, but the rest of the week looks sunny and pleasant.
Kids are in bed! Now I can go to sleep! Goodnight everyone!

oops - I mean the forecast for NEXT weekend... LOL!
Night, Liotte!
I don't get Labor Day off this year
This completely messes with the idea of a nice beach trip--- maybe one can still be crammed in.
Brdlwyr-- I bet they aren't too happy about that. Good luck getting them off tomorrow!
Liotte- Night! I have nothing but respect for you! I nannied for 3 1/2 weeks in the Hamptons and it was the most miserable 3 1/2 weeks of my life. Talk about brats!
Night, Liotte.
Well, it looks sunny all week and next week. But there might be a rain break in the middle. But I doubt it. They SAY it'll rain, but frankly, we're in a horrible sort of droughtish thing now. It's really impossible to tell right now. Illinois weather has horrible mood swings.
Thanks for the info! I will keep an eye on the forecast in the paper... so I know what to pack for next weekend.
howdy all just popping in to say hi while watching south park
It's still pretty hot. Expect 80's. But it's not NEARLY as bad as it was before. I can get by fine with loose jeans and a t-shirt. The city will probably be cooler since it's by the lake.
Millie-
That's absolutely DREADFUL. Hope things get evened out, though. Best of luck to the school year! I was utterly depressed that school was starting again, but nothing that buying pretty colored Sharpies and highlighters didn't solve.
Sharpies YAY! I love back to school shopping.
Back to school shopping is my excuse to spend money guiltlessly.
Ugh. I want to just EXPLODE from....hostile...feelings. And...overturned...karma. But it's such a trivial matter, and I don't know why I'm angry over it. I want to vent, but I have nothing to vent about because it's so minute. What a dilemma.

brdlwyr -- hence, why I don't go back to school shopping with the same gusto I used to.

Last week is "angry week" for a father paying all of the bills. School supplies, uniforms, tuition, book fees, etc. argh!
Aww brdlwyr -- it's all out of love.
Here's the info... (Shameless plug)
