Don't rub it in, you heartless cretin! (Yes, I know I brought up the Nobu topic. ) What other big restaurant openings are there?

I've been telling DD he oughta come to Vancouver later on this month - we have a wonderful annual event called Dine Out Vancouver where the top-end restaurants offer 3-course prix fixe menus at C$15, C$25 or C$35. It's a total steal and a gastronomical orgasm and a half. (Best of all it falls on Chinese New Year, so I get the appropriate funding too!)

Don't get your hopes up for jalapeno yellowtail sashimi here, DD! Unless we go to Tojo's, which is reputed to be the best Japanese food in western Canada.

I must try Nobu sometime. The place I went with Liotte finally took the #1 spot on my list - formerly held by my favorite place in Seattle, Rikki Rikki.
