According to Steinsaltz "An item that is forbidden to be picked up on Shabbat and festivals, because it's normal use involves an activity that is not permitted on these days."

It simply extends to the rest of the laws on what you cannot do on Shabbat. Which I have never really obeyed.

I was just teasing L. Two of the kids are going to a sleep over and the third is out with friends. She is going to freak when she gets home and finds that she was left out of the mix. Oh well.

Had a fun day at the fields... I was only keeping score for my friend's team, but he wanted me to play in their next game because they're short one player. Alas, I have plans this evening... going to see "The Crucible". Fun times.

That is what we are doing - canceling the talapia and asparagus and going out to dinner with our friend and her daughter. C10 was irritated that C11 and C7 are gone for the evening.

(Maybe our friend will take C10 for the night?)

Saugatauck is alot of fun. Spent the day in the pool surrounded by hot, hot, men. Tonight is this big party at a Barn ( and no DD.. it is not a circuit party.)
