#2725Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 3/9/05 at 10:15pmI always have a supply of cream/sugar/coco for the basics -- add in the flavors/nut and chips and always some fresh ice cream at K's -- just give me 30 minutes if it's not in the freezer

Kansas! Yay!
A lavender granita would also be refreshing for the summer, sans the cream needed for ice cream...

My mother's favorite dessert discovery in Italy was granita di cafe: a cup of chilled espresso poured over the granita with fresh whipped cream on top.
Not knowing they serve it only in southern Italy, I asked all over Tuscany and Venice, but no one had it. Finally, I got to Roma--and it was everywhere!
