We have my mother in law in this afternoon for five days and my father is coming to Chicago for "blind" school at the VA hospital, and will spend Saturday and Sunday with us. We are having friends for dinner Sunday afternoon. Are the babies your nieces and nephews?

I tell her over and over again that she is the greatest MIL ever. She keeps the kids in line, helps out and is a great drinking buddy. (loves her Scotch. She is also very generous. I am very lucky. It does get a little cramped in our "toy" house.

you lucked out, brdlwyr. Mom's a pretty good mother in law too... or so says my ex-. She got mad at me when we broke up...

This weekend... Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly... anyone familiar with it? I saw Whoop Dee Doo back in the early/mid 90's, so I'm really looking forward to this.

My friend was in Whoop de do here about ten years ago. I thought it was stupid, but he had fun.

It was pretty stupid... but stupid fun for me. I loved it... we saw it in the Village, this sort'a underground theater that would shake when the subway would go by. Plus it was part of a great weekend... saw our friend's cabaret, met some quasi-famous people... it was all fun.
