Hi Addy and all!
It's a musical weekend for me - seeing the legendary Burt Bacharach with the Atlanta Symphony tonight and Linda Eder tomorrow night. Do you think she might belt out a Broadway tune or two?!
#4259Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 4/1/05 at 3:40pmI have heard Linda eders concerts and repertoire has improved considerably since her separation.
#4260Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 4/1/05 at 3:41pmI'll bet she will and I guarantee it will sound exactly like the recording....her consistency is scary!

Dame - judy is funny.
Not too bad here. Slow week - but have a busy one next week. Paying personal bills, so I am a little grumpy. The kids return to school on Monday - I think I had better bring some bubbly home for the mrs tonight.

Hi K and Dame!
Am excited to see Linda E. tomorrow. She is playing in a small venue of only about 350 seats and I scored 3rd row! :)
I'll try to post a review of her show.

Jungle, that sounds like a great weekend. Can't wait to hear the reviews.
I'm going to see Chitty...tonight. Am taking my SGL best friend for her birthday!
Tomorrow I am going to see my niece in her first school musical. She's the only 7th grader to have been accepted into it. A junior high version of Guys and Dolls... oh my!
Sunday I am taking a friend to see Doubt. I am anxious to see it again, and my friend is an ordained priest (albeit no longer practicing), and has been very interested in the subject matter.
I imagine there will be a drink or two, as well!

Addy;
That sounds like a fabulolus weekend. You will like doubt. I suggest you have a few drinks before Chitty. Seeing it ( in London)reminded me of watching the Ice Capades.

Dame,
I've been watching out for the Diana Ross announcement - have heard nothing. There are some artists who haven't been announced for Chastain Park, yet. Maybe, she will play there. I saw her at Chastain in the mid 90s in the rain. Fun stuff.
Are you coming back to Atlanta this summer? Several good shows have been announced for Chastain - including disco diva Donna Summer!

*sniffle* I need a stiff Raspberry Lemonade on the rocks.
Jamie just posted that Patrick Wilson isn't able to participate in SO3 because he'll be out of town. ("out of town"...could that be "code" for "he will be barricaded in his safe room"?)
I told Jamie that next time when inviting Patrick to participate he should avoid saying "beacon1 really wants you to be there" 'cuz he's been kinda skittish lately... LOL!

Addy,
Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned! Wow - Chitty and Doubt - those two shows should balance each other out nicely!:)

Jungle,
Going to Atlanta late September for a commitment ceremony. Donna Summer is also playing here. We got 4th row center. The night before Chaka Khan is playing at the same venue. We got rear seats ( which is fine at Universal ampitherater)
Hi Iris,
Judge Judys cases are real. She does not mess around. Judge Joe brown is also real. Divorce Court is staged as is now peoples court.

Dame - Too funny - I'm seeing both Donna AND Chaka at Chastain this summer! You know what they say about great minds!
September is still warm in Atlanta, but it should be better than July temperatures. It's my birthday month, too!
