Busy for you. I have a meeting tomorrow re: school finances and then our auction fund raiser tomorrow night.
I am leaving earlier this week to pick up my father - the traffic about killed me the last couple weeks.
Oh, and Sunday I will be squirrel hunting in my attic and patching the hole. I really look forward to that.
Dame, you have such a fun life!
And squirrel hunting????? There are sooo many squirrels in IL, I remember them from college. Good luck with that!
Be prepared to have them back the little buggers will chew through just about anything. Don't know if there are bylaws about what you can do with them in your area - but to me the are over grown rats with tails. I say trap drown em. The damage they can do when they get inside is incredible
I need a drink, the day is dragging and I swear that the clock is ticking backwards..
My clock says 4:02. Close enough.
We've had mice in my building. When I started catching them, I would take care to dispose of them in a humane way.
After catching more than 37 of them, the most "humane" behavior I can rustle up is to keep from screaming "DIE, RODENT, DIIIIIIIE!!!!!" as I put the glue trap in a garbage bag.
Holly likes to sniff them out, but she wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot chew toy. She thinks it's up to humans to touch them and dispose of them. But she likes when I get really, really upset at them.
As long as you toast their departure with a Mojito I think your fine.
oh, you don't want me to tell my mice stories!
...I finally moved.
Mom once guillotined one in a toaster. Needless to say she bought a new toaster.
I had one die in my stove... and I didn't know it until I started to do a roast.
Eeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
...and then there was the one that got tangled in my bed's dust ruffle...
Eeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
and just to clarify: they were the result of a kitchen renovation which, apparently left a microscopic opening somewhere, so they all decided to come play in my apartment.
The contractor finally came and fixed the problem but it was just VILE.
*shudders at the memory*
Also if you use the standard traps and you hear them go off. Don't go rushing back to the trap. The traps are not quite as instant as one may think.
Also if using traps and you find one missing in the morning. Don't wait a while to try find it - although the smell does eventually find you.
Ok enough of this - someone pass that pitcher.
Thanks for the drink Dame...here ya go Kansas
Never had a problem with mice... Funny I am the one out here in the wilderness!
Happy Friday all. I so NEED this weekend.
Passing the pitcher to Kansas
I'll take a drink too, please!
I'm just pretending to work right now.
I can't wait to get in my car and drive away. With my showtunes blaring!

I do not look forward to the hunt. I know that it (I am praying that it is an it and not more than one) leaves in the day and returns at about 6:00 - the dog never catches it as is scurries up the side of the house.
We do not have mice though.
Oh, and pass the pitcher.
Addy - I night try pom Margs at home tongiht. I picked up the Pom.
YUM YUM YUM!
and, brdlwyr, I hope you enjoy them!
...I'm heading out of town in about an hour, so I can only have one drink for now, Dame! But thanks!
Happy weekend to Aunt Addy and all! It is time to head out and enjoy the last of the cherry blossoms while sipping something strong ... !!
