I try picking up with the same liquor I had the night before
Keep the party going!
Another vote for orange soda? Must keep that in mind. Not that I've had a hangover since, forever....
It's the drinking + no sleep combo that gets me.
Hi hussys. Busy day here. Happy Friday everyone!
no sleep and no food is the evil combo that gets me every time...
Fortunately, I am rarely hungover. Even when I've had too much to drink I can generally get out of it unscathed. Unless the drinks were poisoned, in which case it takes me forever to recover. Yes, orange soda works every time!
VERY busy day, today. But tonight includes Veuve. It's already chilling!
Note to self...get Vueve on the way home...who says you can't drink alone!
Going to Happy hour at Mickeys tonight. Two for one drinks and great mojitos.
A little bubbly sounds good - perhaps I shall imbibe before heading off to the Shakespeare Theatre this evening. I'll raise a glass with all of you! A mojito does sound good though...
BT, darlin' I will have a drink for you this evening!
Even if it's at home by myself.
My adorable friend who was hosting a little soiree for me tonight is home in bed with a raging fever... So, we've rescheduled.
Enjoy the Shakespeare Theatre this evening. Big week for Shakespeare... Happy Birthday to the Bard!
Addy, we won't be drinking alone - we just won't be in the same state, that's all... On Sunday Queen Elizabeth will be serving birthday cake at the Folger Shakespeare Library for Will, so I will have to hobble down and have a piece of Shake's cake.
We never really drink alone, do we?!
And a piece of Shake's cake sounds delish?!?
I've never been to the Folger--are the productions consistently good? Or would I have to pick carefully?
I remember years ago when they did Henry IV (or was it Merry Wives?) with Pat Carroll as a gender-bending Falstaff. I wish I had gone to DC for that...
and we were raising the roof with Macbeth, Otello and Falstaff on Wednesday at Carnegie...
Joey - they have been pretty good this season. I love the setting - being at the foot of the supreme court and the capitol and being able to walk home. I really enjoyed their Romeo and Juliet this season. Addy, bring your operatic Bard on tour and stop in DC!
So the joint, as Judy sang, was really jumpin' down at Carnegie Hall?
The witches were brewing and the lads were drinking and a merry old time was being had by all!
How could it not be a good time with witches and lads and drinking?
Me too, undi, plus some precious puffy pink poodles ...
Operatic drinking songs...
I sing opera best when I'm sauced ... My Queen of the Night Aria is not to be missed!
That I HAVE to see!
I do a mean Lady Macbeth!
My new favorite aria is Ewa Podles singing Venti Turbini. That woman can whip up a tornado with her voice. Just imagine it after a bottle of veuve.
Cookie - stop tempting me ...
