How do you all feel about Buble? I go back and forth.
Sometimes I think that he's fake and manufactured--but then one of the songs will come up on my iPod and I'll love it.
I swear he does Moondance better than Van Morrison. Or is it just a fabulous arrangement?

Buble' is doing music I love - has been done better, but how many options are there these days? He has a fabulous arranger! And when Sway comes on, I CAN NOT sit still!
I listen to him often ... and swoon. However, I saw a TV ad for his album last evening as he looked plastic (and chubby).
Oh, nobody does Moondance better than Morrison! Buble's arrangement is great, but Morrison owns that in my heart! (One of my all-time favorite songs... it's a sure thing for me!)
I enjoy Buble', in general, and would be curious to see him in concert.
Dame, the ironic thing is that Dumba$$ tried to get me to drive a Lexus for YEARS. Now that we're no longer together I just might...
I have never seen him perform live ( only on tv) .. but I have loved his cd's. The greek is just like your venue "ChastainPark" so it should be a fun evening. Already all sold out.
Addy; you do much driving in NYC?
Not in the city - but I drive out of the city quite frequently...
I don't use my car day to day in NY, though. Too much trouble.

And, where do you park. Dame - does your condo have a spot.
How did you know I had a condo?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
And yes.. I have 3 spots.

Dame - my thread memory is actually a curse. You told me.
I was starting to think you were Marc Shaiman stalking me again.. ( you know he showed up in London)

Didn't you see me outside your window last night.
My roommate is infatuated with Bublé... he's seeing him in Portland and Seattle... on consecutive days! I like him.
Addy... is parking in the city super expensive? I assume you live in the city... is it better off of Manhattan?

Parking in the Loop sucks - 17.00 before 9:00 and 22.50 after that.
The one good thing here is that one of the lots was bought by the city, and to promote shopping downtown you can park for 3 or 4 hours and only pay $6. And the lots surrounding it are not that much more expensive.
That is one thing about LA. Free parking everywhere. ( well mostly)

I have spent hundreds of dollars this month. No free parking - the meters are $6.00 for two hours.
Where does Oprah park?

She is west of the Loop and I assume her studio has many spaces.
Exh. A not to have a car: $6.00 parking meters
How's public transportation? Can one get away without a car in Chicago? (you can in Seattle if you NEVER leave the city, and living in the 'burbs it's not an option)

I can take the Subway or the choo choo train (commuter)
The subway system is very good and the bus system is good also, lot of options.
You could probably get away with no car - I did not have a car for the first five years.
Parking in the city is stupid. It's beyond expensive. And if you want to try to park on the street you have to deal with alternate side rules. There is no easy answer...
I keep my car in a garage across from my apartment. I don't like to think about what I pay...
I am sure it's slightly less expensive outside of Manhattan, though I haven't ever explored the option of parking there.
They are selling Car-dominiums here in Philly. Prices start at $45,000 plus monthly fees and expenses.

SOMS - how can you be in Philly if you are BB in Jersey?
I just say I'm in NJ when I post as Boobs to throw everyone off.
Luckily you're not a brddetective.
