Ok- advice from those older and wiser than myself- So I'm not working now, and trying to find a job. But now, I am looking at getting away from NYC for the holiday weekend. I can use a mileage ticket and go to Chicago for the weekend, but I would have to leave today around 3, and then I would come back next Tuesday or Wednesday. So I don't want to spend money, but if I stay in the city I will probably just spend more money on lots of shows (as opposed to just doing the lottery for Wicked in Chicago til I win). Should I get a plane ticket and go? Or just stay in NYC?

I did have a lousy time with friends last time, but this would be different- we would be going up to a lake house in WI and just getting some sun, relaxing, and hanging out on the dock and the boat, playing vball and basketball, going to the race track, stuff like that. No city life.

We're staying home, but may go into the city for the 3rd (no way I'm going anywhere near Philadelphia on Saturday with Live - we may go see "Sing-along '1776'" - isn't that a hoot?
