Good morning all. Business here in our nations's Capital. Bush is out of town so the air is fresher. Monuments, tours, museums yesterday and Georgetown today for shopping for the kids. We are seeting friends later from high school for me and then dinner with the various families tonight.
A highlight was front row seats at the Washington Nationals (baseball) last night.
brdlwyr, sounds like you're having a wonderful time!
Hope the weather has been cooperating. It's icky in New York. I was going to go for a run this morning, but decided to stay in bed instead. It's that kind of day!
Hope you all have a happy one, and that Dame has an excellent birthday.
Good morning everyone! I just heard back from one of my job interviews, I am going to meet with the mom tomorrow afternoon, yay! It sounds like an awesome job, I'll give you more details about it tomorrow after I get home!
Addy- I hear you, it's definitely yucky in NY. I'm going back to bed too!
brdlwyr- How long are you in DC for?
DD- Glad you are getting better!
YAY LIOTTE!!!! YAY YAY YAY!
(which one is this one? The football one or the other?)
Happy Birthday to the Supreme Hussy!
Hope everyone is having fun!
This was the football one, yes. After I meet with mom tomorrow, if she likes me, then she'll fly me to east hampton on their plane this weekend to meet the kids. Cross your fingers for me!
You've got my fingers and toes and those of the rest of my family as well! I'm very happy for you!
Greetings from the Great Pac Northwest...
Very quick check-in before a day of madness and commotion. (work is going to be busy today)
I am anxious about tomorrow, L. Good luck!
Running in icky weather is, shall we say, icky?
Glad to hear you're having a good time, brdlwyr...
OTA... make sure to uncross your toes when you walk. It can be quite painful. not that I would know or anything
for Liotte:
x 10 plus toes!
Awesome, thanks!
I looked online for some info about this family, holy cow! They have mucho dinero and have done some amazing stuff! (donated $100 million to medical stuff, for example)
how many kids are we talking about here?
They have 4 kids- 9, 8, 2 1/2, and 11 months
Cool - and did you meet all of them? Was there a connection? 11 months - can you take an 11 month old to ASU? THIS is the crucial question!
LOL- I haven't met any of them yet, just talked to the mom this morning, and will go meet her tomorrow afternoon. If she likes me, then she'll fly me out to east hampton this weekend on their plane to meet the kids.
And they've lived out there for years and are moving back to the city in the fall, so she is looking for someone to take the kids everywhere- shows, ball games, all the city events. I mentioned that I am taking 2 kids to Lazer Park tomorrow, and she said that kind of thing is perfect for her kids- they love to go out and see everything and do it all. Sounds good to me!
oh, man - that is WONDERFUL! Lucky kids!
liotte - my fingers are crossed as well.
and greetings to all...

Hello - quick check in from DC. I am pages behind. Shopping in Georgetown - fun for the girls, boring for C7 and I.
We leave tomorrow afternoon and will spolit the trip and arrive in Chicago on Friday.
Hugs to all.
Hey, BL! Sounds like you're having pseudo-fun (hope shopping ends soon!) too bad DC isn't like NOLA where you can imbibe on the street - it would make your shopping trip much more pleasureable!
Safe Trip back if we don't see you before you leave!
Liotte - GOOD LUCK!
I just got a phone call from the company I went through to find a job, and the person there said she spoke to the mom, and she loved me just from the phone and wants to hire me already without even meeting her. Obviously I'm going to meet her tomorrow, and hopefully the kids too, but it sounds very promising. I'm quite excited now!!!
Oh, this is SO exciting for you Liotte -- when you sign that contract, I'm just gonna squeal with happiness for you.
Shira, you are going to have to keep me filled in on the ongoing at you-know-where....
In preparation for working with kids, I am cooking my lunch right now. That's right, me, Liotte, am cooking. I have macaroni and cheese boiling on the stove, and tator tots in the oven. Yummy! Getting my carbs in for volleyball tonight. (If I play volleyball, I can skip the gym today, right? DD? OTA?Right????)

Mac & cheese AND tater tots for lunch - these kids are gonna LOVE you! (well, they'll love you anyway, but the fastest way to a kid's heart is through carbs)
