GOOD MORNING! I missed the entire day yesterday - took me forever to catch up (blasted all day meeting and then a dentist appointment and then a thing with the kids and then laundry and then my wife wanted to use the 'puter and then I fell asleep - all very banal!)
From what I read, it appears that today is THE day to take off - I did NOT get that memo... for whoever is still here - BREAKFAST!!!!

And, Happy Friday everyone!

Hi, Beacs! Changed the breakfast to something a little not-so-gigantic! Hope you have a great day!

OK, how come Beacs can see the breakfast and all I get is a little box with a red X? Is this X on Weight Watchers?
hmmm... BlueMoon - let's give this one a try:
(stay away from the finger sandwiches, though - shades of "Sweeney Todd")

"Bring on the Men" -
I like to have a man for breakfast each day.
I'm very social and I like it that way.
By late mid-morning I need something to munch
so I ask over 2 men for lunch.
And men are mad about my afternoon tease .
They're quite informal I just do it to please.
Those triple sandwiches are my favorite ones
I must admit, I'm partial to buns.
My healthy appetite gets strongest at night.
My at-home dinners are my men friends delight.
When I invite the fellas over to dine
they all come early, in bed by nine!

Good morning, I am leaving for the airport soon.
Who is going to the picnic?

BL - do you have a group of friends from HS that you know will be there, or are you going to be surprised?

We have a tight group of about ten. We all rented cabins a few years ago and also met in Seattle last year for a wedding. I know all of their kids, etc. It should be a blast.
Have a great time at the reunion brdlwyr! I don't like I'll even go to my 10 year reunion in a couple years.
OTA, I missed you yesterday! And some new person is now OTA2 and I don't like that one bit!!!
Morning undi and beacs and bluemoon and everyone else!
EXCUSE ME????? There's an OTA2??? (I don't know whether to be secretly thrilled or outwardly annoyed!) HARUMPH!!
*k, that's outta the way!*
How are you, Liotte? Feel good to be back? Where are the kids today?
I saw that person's BWW name and thought maybe it was you and you forgot your password to OTA, so you made an OTA2. But alas, it's a new poster who was asking stupid questions on the main board.
I'm great, it was so nice to sleep in my own bed, and now I just have lots of errands to do today around the city. The older kids are out of town at NFL football practice for the weekend with dad, and mom has the little ones. But of course, half the things I am doing this weekend in the city I am taking kids with me for (yankees, six flags). But that's ok, I like kids.
when are you fitting in Six Flags? I thought you were in the city with things to do the whole time...
I am in the city til Tuesday, so I am going to go out there on Monday for the day...
I am subletting my apartment to a friend for the month of August, so I gotta get out of the apt and figured Six Flags will take me away all day. Well actually, she'll be at work all day, so it doesn't really matter, but that's my excuse :)

I think it would be very neighborly of you to invite Richard Gere to the picnic.
lol - just like you need an excuse to go to ASU? Who're you trying to fool, missy?
I'm ashamed to admit that our kids have never been to Great Adventure... go ahead, start throwing things!
Bluemoon, I'll see what I can do :)
OTA- so when am I taking your kids?
LOL! Between your busy schedule and theirs... we'd be lucky to find a day in 2009... we've actually been talking about September - I'll let you know and maybe we can meet you there...
Ooh, that would be fun!
My hamptons kids are so mad that I am going this weekend and they can't come. We will go next weekend when I fly with them to the football camp, there is a six flags nearby.
And they want to go to great adventure in the fall.

OMIGOSH.
As I was picking up the mail this morning the DJs on the radio were interviewing a local restaurant owner and his bartender--and they learned how to make MOJITOS. The bartender explained all the ingredients needed and then the 10th caller who could recite them all back got tickets to see "ColdPlay" in concert.
LOL. I wondered how many here would have been able to recite the ingredients without hearing the bartender first. :o)
And, the bartender prefers dark rum for more of a kick? Is that true? (I don't drink so I wouldn't know if there is a difference.)

I never tried it with Dark Rum - we'd have to go to Mother Hussy for the true evaluation, I think...
I just got a bottle of vanilla rum that ought to give it a bit of a twist - I'll take that as a homework assignment!
