Morning, liotte!
Hi to all!
I got back from vacation yesterday, and was SWAMPED at the office! Went to see Bwaysinger in his Fringe Festival show last night, and LOVED it. He is a STAR!
Am heading out for the weekend... but wanted to stop by and say hi to all my pals here! Hope everyone has great plans for the day, and I'll try to catch up when I'm back in the city tomorrow!
Cheers...
Addy! You've had a great time.
But, you have beem missed.
Goodmorning Hussys.
Natalie Cole was beyond incredible ast night. She is in fantastic voice and the Los Angeles Philarmonic was splendid. She did a two hour plus concert. Act 1 consisted of all her "standards" material (Unforgettable, smile, paper moon, etc...). She had the 18000 people at the Hollywood Bowl in the palm of her hand. Act 2 consited of her early hits , her later hits ( like Miss you like Crazy, Mister Melody, etc..), and then of course she closed the show with the term.. "TIME TO GO TO CHURCH" and she proceeded to bring the house down with some gospell. What a fantastic show.. and the woman looks gorgeous.
Today we have two screenings. One for proof, and the other for some Bill Murray movie. Anyone know anything about it?

DAME - if the Murray film is BROKEN FLOWERS, most of what I've been reading has been about the incredible supporting female cast.
It is broken Flowwers. Dgrant; I wanted to tell you that the orchestra last night sounded splendid. i think the sound problem at the Bowl is dependant on who dessigns the sound for that evening. I understood from other people that the sound for camelot was wanting.

DAME - glad to hear it - I love me some Natalie. A friend of ours used to be her conductor/arranger. Did she by ANY chance do "Pink Cadillac"? - I would have danced down the aisles!

DD - sounds to me like you're dancing in the clouds . . .
I wish, DG. I wish... *ponders* *sigh*
No. She didn't sing Pnk Cadillac. Iguess he just can't sing everything.

That's the problem with these people who have extended careers
DD - at the very least it sounds like you had a great evening.
My kids are sick. 3 have strep, one has a sinus infection and fever. Add that to the usual ADD medication and growth hormone shots, and we've got tons of medication in this house!!
Going to attempt to take the kids to a BBQ/Line Dancing tonight if they are feeling up to it.
Hope everyone is having a good saturday!

liotte - that sounds rough! And if they are feeling well enough to go do that tonight, that would be one heck of a recovery.
No Pink Cadillac = No Dancing DG
Ugh... strep. Keep that kid inside.

DD - I dance all the time - pink cadillac or not!
Cool... you can join me in my happy dances.
What's in store for you this Saturday?
I'm taking the pup to the vet, then lunch with a friend... a reading at 4 and a birthday party at 7.

Today is my book club meeting, and then tonight is closing night of Robert's Shakespeare season - with the requisite party, of course!
Tonight's his last show?!
*ponders getting in car and hitting gas*
Liam, honey -- what's happening?
I love closing night parties... say hi to Robert for me.
Off to my reading...
I will - I'm going!
Have a good reading!
