It IS Angela! But "young and vibrant," DG? Angela always played older than she was, didn't she? (The stand-out exception: The Court Jester. LOVE that movie!)

She gained Oscar nominations for her first two film roles in Gaslight(1943) and Picture of Dorian Gray (1944). MGM just didn't know what to do with her and she was stuck with minor and relatively unsuitable roles for most of her time at MGM.
In the 1960s, she had a string of excellent roles, including Manchurian Candidate (1962) and Dark at the Top of the Stairs. (1961)
It was only after these roles that she took to the Broadway stage and a legend was born.
Angela Lansbury is a wonderfully gifted performer. Her career is worth looking up.
