Rathy, I have been waiting for Shirley for days and days.

Undi, just read a great interview with Jerry Herman in which he compares Angela Lansbury to Christine Baranski. I am very hopeful about her portrayal of Mame!

I have been discussing with Moonie and Mamie the idea of doing the DC Get-Together on June 30. Isn't that a good idea?

Hmmm, liotte - there was a note inside the Playbill that Kate had "joined the cast." But reading the Playbill it says Sarah is the understudy - I don't know who's right! But whoever it was - she was fantastic.

And Penny, I've been waiting for you to see Shirley!

You're right, it's a blue whale. I went to a bar once and there was a big blue shark in my drink, so I just assumed it was a shark.

I'm a life member of the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and took Marine Biology and Oceanography. If my teachers could see me now....

Shirley and I have been spending a lot of time on the town, Penny - apparently, people don't believe I know her, so I'm trying to be seen with her as much as possible these days - we've been having a blast though.

And you? What antics have you and Angie been up to?

Angela and I have been hanging out around the Kennedy Center, sitting in on rehearsals for Mame and giving the "new" cast some pointers. I agree with her in most cases, but there have been a few diverging opinions. She's so sweet though. Even when you disagree with her, you want to just hug her.

Angela was never as pretty as Shirley, but she has more Tonys. No Oscar of course, but Shirley did win that for a non-singing role. So it doesn't really count towards anything.

It's quite the opposite, dear. Shirley didn't need to use her singing to win an Oscar - she won it on her brilliant acting alone.
