I took a stop down memory lane...aka the cereal aisle and bought a box of TRIX.
WOW! Has this cereal shrunk or what? The banana pieces are TINY! They used to be the largest!
It used to be oranges, grapes, bananas, and cherries. Maybe even limes? Now they have blueberries and watermelons, too.
A late Boooooo to GM for changing a classic!

I remember Trix being brightly colored balls - when did they come out with the fruit shapes?
I realize that statement/question sounds a bit odd out of context...
I recall eating Kix a lot as a kid.

Posted: 7/5/06 at 12:49pmI used to love (still love) COOKIE CRISP, but I DO NOT like the wolf on there now. I want the original dog back. My favorite cereal of ALL TIME, is CINNAMON TOAST CRUNCH.

I was never a fan of either Trix and Kix - of all the cold cereals, they got the soggiest fastest.
Here's an amazing Breakfast cereal link from one of my favorite sites...

What the hell - bananas?
Capn, I think you don't mean the OLD Trix cereal, perhaps the version before this version.

#14re: Who remembers the OLD Trix cereal??
Posted: 7/5/06 at 1:41pmI think I remember them being balls as well. I love Sugar Smacks which are now just called Smacks or Super Golden Crisp, depending on the brand you like. I love Golden Grahams, though.

Now I have a hankering for some Trix!
As far as the sugary cereals go - I liked Cocoa Pebbles. It gave you a bowl of chocolate milk. Fruity Pebbles were good too - in all their sugary splendor!
We always had Raisin brand, Kix, Cheerios and Life. Mom would let us have the sugary ones as a treat.
