You can just change your settings so it doesn't show up when you're online. Some people prefer to lurk with intent...naming no names.

On the left hand--choose "Settings" under red "Site" banner.

Scroll down.


"Show in who's on-line" option will be displayed. You can choose "Yes" or "No."

I usually never logout. I just stay logged in and keep the window up, so I took myself off because otherwise it would say that I am online when I'm nowhere near my computer.
