Why is Lion Kings Playbill called a Showbill

Yesterday I went to see Lion King. I looked at the playbill and it was titled SHOWBILL. How come?

it's their own version of "playbill." unlike virtually every other theatre, disney decided to do their own thing and came up with the "showbill."

Basically, Disney wanted to control who advertised in their program.

Livent did the same thing with RAGTIME - since it was at the Ford Center, and Ford Motors had invested lots of money, they wanted a guarantee that there would not be ads for any other car compnies in the program.

I have Playbills from other Disney shows...is the "Showbill" specific to Lion King?

Also- I have a Stagebill from The Lion King, not a Showbill- but it's from '97...did they change the title at some point?
