re: why must we fear teresa and rev. al?

It isn't the sentiments I have a problem with, it is that YOU are on a rampage on this board. So, just be warned, that you may get quite a lot of that thrown back at you. You won't be able to cry, "unfair".

Trust me--I'm not worried about this election. I know that Kerry is going to win. At least, as long as Bush doesn't rig the election again.

OK, boys.

Settle down.

Teresa would not approve of all this bickering.

well, fantasies do that. just like the fantasy you cling to of a kerry presidency.

re: why must we fear teresa and rev. al?

Papa, you know I respect your views. You do your research and even though I don't agree with your philosophy, your arguments are generally well reasoned (for your side of the aisle). However, when you make comments like "the fantasy you cling to of a kerry presidency" you just make yourself look ridiculous.

There is a very real possibility that John Kerry will be the next president of the United States. He's ahead in the polls right now while the current president has less than a 50 percent approval rating (and no incumbent president has ever come back to win with such low numbers). No one -- least of all Karl Rove -- thinks it's a fantasy that Kerry might win.

You're better than that last immature comment. Rachet it up or people will really start to lose interest in the nyah-nyah-nyah-nyah discourse.

jrb - just curious - if Bush were to be reported as having won the election (popularly and electoraly,) would you not accept it as valid under any circumstances - it could only happen if it was rigged?

re: why must we fear teresa and rev. al?

If every voter who is eligible is allowed to vote and it is clear that all votes have been counted fairly--including the computer polling stations, then I would be able to accept his winning as fair.

I just don't see that happening. It certainly wasn't the case last time.

Well, I hate the electoral college--I did before 2000, and I do today, even though if the election were held today, Kerry would def win on electoral votes.

But, if all went down fair, then so be it.
