Yes, I think so. There were a lot of Christmas sale prices and these prices likely reflect standard prices coming. The adoption of HD media has been slowed by the Republican economy, but I think once the economy picks up more people will be buying. When that happens more items will be produced and prices will drop.
Standard definition TVs exist on the market now only in hand-held devices. So yes, drops are coming.
If HD is too expensive for you now, wait a year or two.
