Will Michael Jackson be a posthumous inductee to the Kennedy Center Honors?

It just occured to me that he was never honored. Dying so young, I suppose his induction was still a few years off.

Have there ever been posthumous inductees? Considering his ground breaking contributions to pop music, shouldn't he be?

I don't believe so, but I don't know if that's part of the criteria or not.
