re: Will and Grace: New Season!

They had to fire the actress who played Joey's married love interest. Not sure if they took out the character or re-cast it.

I am looking forward to Drea de Matteo though. re: Will and Grace: New Season!

They re-cast. Can't remember who with. It's all about Paulo Costanzo for me. I love him.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Well Matt, remember what happened when they gave Ellen a girlfriend. Kiss of death. I only watch it for Jack and Karen also. Will is okay - can't stand Grace though and really hated her in relationships.

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

I am sorry but last season...UGH what WAS that! I understand Debra Messing was preggers and all and well ****ake happens that keeps you from being on a show but Jesus h. Jack and Karen couldn't even save some episodes for me. One thing i hated they did and i know the typical thing to do is to cover the pregnant bel with a chair, table or a bag of groceries. but the fact that they kept saying she was getting fat. I do not know. Once ok but I felt like every episode she made it in, they said it. Cause to me then it doesn't make it about the character Grace it makes it about Debra. Once would have been cute absolutely! but anymore then that and in my eyes your reaching for a laugh.

But hopefully since all that is over, lets hope it picks back up!

That ties in to a piece of the show that has always really bothered me. There are constant references to Grace having a problem with overeating, yet she is so skinny I can barely stand to look at her. I really don't get that. When she became pregnant and started to fill out, she finally looked healthy. But the eating thing...ewwww.

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

All popular shows are great in the beginning because it is a fresh new idea with new jokes etc. It is a little far fetched to think that Will is always unlucky in love. He is a doll. Jack and Karen play off each other extremely well. But to keep all the episodes fresh, I guess no new characters can stay too long. Grace nauseates me. She is so skinny with such a flat chest. I do not find Debra Messing funny at all. She overdoes it. She is trying to be like Lucille Ball. She should disappear. The maid Rosario with Karen is very funny. I think Will should get a boyfriend and Grace,Karen and Jack just date with new partners to keep it fresh.

I adore Will & Grace. I am excited to see the new JLO and Jack episode this season.

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

There are some episodes I really like: Thanksgiving and Jack auditioning for the Gay Men's Chorus, but on a whole this show just doesn't do it for me. Will & Grace are so co-dependent sometimes, it's actually too painful to watch.

My favorite episode was when Minnie Driver was leaving out of Karen's house and Karen kept coughing for Minnie to giver her, her jewlery back.......and then Minnie opened her legs and all this stuff fell out. It was priceless. I laughed so hard.

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

I agree with whoever liked the edgy Miro Sorvino episode. Farce, sure, but closer to Joe Orton at least. The sharpest writing, some of the funniest observations. But the heyday of the show remains, as posted, very early. The episode that won Eric an emmy -- the hour long flashback to Will's coming out -- shows you the potential, and the direction that should continue. Grace's hand-wringing marital woes with Harry are just the stuff of daytime. 1968 daytime. The hubby who is in Doctors without borders -- forget its turgid execution, this is not sitcom material in 2004 (particularly in a world where such docs are leaving Iraq and lives are being lost.) I think Messing is a gifted commedienne, and her relationship with Eric can be wonderful and real. But she got pregnant, and more worrisome: the show has always had an imbalance -- it's always seemed more critical that Grace gets laid and gets married rather than Will. Will is a gay man in his prime who ... doesn't act much like a gay man in his prime. When they don't know what to do with Will and Grace, Jack and Karen take over the show. In other words, a lot of the last two seasons it's been Karen and Jack with W & G supporting.

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

Spider you reminded me...

There was a Minnie Driver W&G Epi where she made fun of Taboo.

Karen asked where she'd been and she goes "I was in the chorus of Taboo." and later she's like "I have to go now to the cast party. They have one every night just in case!"

It was the night, or the night after we all found it it was closing which was ironic but made it painful to hear. But now I look at it and laugh cause I know it was truthful and would have been funny at any other time.

so excited. Very sad about Harry Connick Jr. - hes too adorable to be a bad guy! But I am thrilled that there are still a few good shows out there!

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

I can't figure out where else they can go except the dreaded baby story line.
Tho some time passed I mention the idea of Kristen Chenowith as Karens long lost sister. I still think that would play funny.

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

I'm probably the only person that this bothers...
In some episodes, the make references to actors who at other times make guest appearances NOT playing themselves.
For example, there was a joke made about Minnie Driver in one episode, and there are other episodes where Minnie Driver is playing someone other than herself.
It kinda messes with the contract of "willing suspension of disbelief".
If the actress Minnie Driver exists in the world of Will & Grace, then rips the seams of the world when they pretend not to notice that it's Minnie Driver.
And to my knowledge, they have not even made a "you kinda look like Minnie Driver" joke or anything.
Alright, done with the rant.

I do enjoy Will and Grace. I think that adding in H.C.Jr's character was a major mistake (not that I don't love him, I just think that the character made the show's dynamic change for the worse). I wish they'd tone down Jack and Karen. They're so far over the top, that it's just driving me nuts now.
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

I personally can't wait for the new season, and I hope it get's better than last season. I didn't like that she was married, period. She was more fun single. Same for Will. I love Jack and Karen though, as do we all.

And wow, Kristin as Karen's long lost sister? I love it, it works well. After all, they are both Broadway people....

Is anyone else watching tonight? I was skeptical since last season was so horrible, but I'm finding this pretty damn funny.

It actually was a very well-done season premiere.

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

SOOOO glad they're getting rid of Connick. That whole storyline just never worked for me. Anytime she's been in a relationship it's brought the show down.

If I could marry a fictional character, it would be Karen.

I'm confused about something from that episode. Is Kabbalah a person, place or food?

re: Will and Grace: New Season!

I had another Will And Grace question. That book that JLo was reading on the train, Ann Corona, or something like that, I didn't catch what she said. Does anyone know if that's really a book and if it is, is it worth reading?

It's a real book, I believe, and the last name starts with a K.
