I just saw on the Daily 10 that Jenna Fischer, Amy Poehler, Vanessa Williams, and Jane Krakowski made the shortlist for featured actress. Shocked that a person could be nominated for SNL. Either way, Vanessa better win.
Oh good, an appropriate opportunity! I've been looking for one of these all day! ^_^
WEPA, VANESSA!
Although SNL is one of my favorite shows, I was a little surprised too. Amy Poehler is really funny though.
Congrats to Amy Poehler! A well deserved nomination!
She is not nominated yet, she made the "short list", or the first round of cuts. I believe after all the ballots are counted all categories are then cut down to the top ten finalist which are then voted on by a special group. The actual nominations are announced on the 17th.
Wow, that's great that Krakowski made it. She truly got to show off some great skills during her "fat" storyline, although she should have been nominated last year for the "Rural Juror" episode.
WHile Poehler is great, SNL really has become the Kristin Wiig Show
Kristin Chenoweth is also on the short list for her work in Pushing Daisies.

Pffft. For comedy? I'd take Becki Newton over Poehler any day. Chenoweth, too. I thought she was terrific in Pushing Daisies.
Love Fischer, Williams and Krakowski!
In a perfect world, the nominees would be:
Kristin Chenoweth-PUSHING DAISIES
Jennifer Esposito-SAMANTHA WHO?
Jenna Fischer-THE OFFICE
Jane Krakowski-30 ROCK
Becki Newton-UGLY BETTY
Elizabeth Perkins-WEEDS
I would also love it for Jean Smart, Melissa McCarthy, or Vanessa Williams to get nominations. Did any of them make the list? Becki Newton is the unsung hero of UGLY BETTY, I love Williams, but Newton is just as great in a completely different way of course.
Vanessa Williams is on the list, and is probably the favorite to actually win the award at this point.
Williams is great, as long as Jamie Pressley doesn't win again, I'm good. I still don't see how she won last year.

I'd be happy with a Williams win! She's consistently great and I loved her work last season. The episode with Betty White stands out as one of my favorites!
Pressly is not on this year's short list in that category. To simplify things...here is the list:
Kristin Chenoweth, "Pushing Daisies" ("Girth")
Conchata Ferrell, "Two and a Half Men" ("Fish in a Drawer")
Jenna Fischer, "The Office" ("Fun Run")
Jane Krakowski, "30 Rock" ("The Collection")
Judith Light, "Ugly Betty" ("I See Me, ICU")
Elizabeth Perkins, "Weeds" ("Risk")
Amy Poehler, "Saturday Night Live" ("Tina Fey")
Jean Smart, "Samantha Who? ("The Girlfriend")
Holland Taylor, "Two and a Half Men" ("Media Room Slash Dungeon")
Vanessa Williams, "Ugly Betty" ("Bananas for Betty")
Thanks for the list adamgreer!
