Ok, here's the deal. Went for a drink after rehearsals last night & was chatting to a very good mate who's also in the show. We were laughing a lot & I know my body language was quite flirty, but I flirt with everyone. Lol.

Anyway as other members of the society turned up we spread out into a bigger circle so I ended up sitting across from him chatting to the MD. My dad was still chatting to my mate and we didn't talk anymore for the rest of the evening.

So... we get in the car to go home (me & my Dad this is), and the first thing Dad says is "Don't laugh, but I think he's got a crush on you. He kept looking over at you all the time." (cue much protestation on my part - we are talking about a bloke who most definitely considers me "one of the lads")

Now, my question is: How do I stop my Dad from interfering and embarrassing me? (Bearing in mind he's the sort of dad who wants to see his daughter married to a nice young man asap)

HELP!!!

ITM

Btw, whether or not this bloke does fancy me is kinda immaterial. He's a nice lad, but I'm not interested. I just don't want dad trying to set me up with ANYONE!

Well, he saw all the problems I was going to have with my ex's after knowing them a week (damn! I hate when he's right!) so he seems to be fairly good at judging character. I'm not sure he's so good at judging when men fancy me - he's the sort of Dad who thinks every man should find me absolutely stunning and those who don't are blind *rolls eyes*.

And I write as I talk. It's been known to make people's heads explode. Lol.

you bring up a good point about your dad thinking every guy is interested. in that respect, I'd just trust his advice regarding current relationships, which he apparently has a good track record with. and if you're not interested in this particular fellow, then there really isn't a problem right?

glad you like the sig. it's being replaced as soon as i find one i like as much re: Would you trust your parents with your lovelife?
