It really seems inevitable that a strike is looming here come this spring. If it happens it will be a very scary time.

Remember the late 80's?

At least then, they didn't have reality shows and writers were needed.

Yea, it wouldn't be a big thing because everything on TV today is real stuff. I was just complaining an hour ago how everything is either a big money game show or some kind of competition with three judges. Commercial breaks have promos for shows of the same categories premiering soon. I wonder if TV watchers would even notice if there was any kind of strike!

It wouldn't be a big thing????? I am talking from the point of view that work in the industry. Not a couch potato in Idaho.

Some reality shows do have writers. It would really kill the late night talk shows

Look on the bright side, Dame, it may help the acting community practice their improv.

Well yeah, it would be a HUGE deal for those who fall on the negative side, and I would hate to see it happen. I guess I was focusing more on the American public. I would hate to see so many people out of work.
