Anyone want to help me? I've got about 14 chapters including the prologue and intro.
Help with what?
I can try and help. I have two novels published and currently working on the third (170 pages and counting lol)
ok, you want someone to write your novel for you? Last week weren't you asking someone to give you ideas for plays?
Do you do any of your own homework??? Just wondering.....
Shouldn't the prologue and intro be the same thing?

Is your novel a fictionalized account of how you played the roles you post in your signature? It always warms my heart to see that you've played "Pawnee Jill" in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN.

Thank you. I'm going to PM you.

1. I'm writing my own novel, but I've had writer's block for the past few months and I feel some of the plot developments are a little weak, so I'd like feedback and advice.
2. I would never write a play. That's not my type of thing. I was asking on feedback on a monologue from The Children's Hour to use for an audition, but I didn't write that myself, and I never wrote that I was planning on writing a monologue or a play.
3. I do my own homework, but sometimes I'd like help with Italian since I don't know any fluent Italian speakers besides my voice teacher, who is pretty hard to reach, or I'd like feedback on an essay, which plenty of people do. And the novel's not even homework, it's just something I'm doing in my downtime.
Dollypop, I'm not going to bother answering you.
who said anything about Italian? I speak fluent German, and I even need help now and then.
It just seems that you, and others keep asking for things, and it starts sounding like you expect people to do your work for you. Hell, we all get writers block....you work through it.
Sorry if it was not you asking for a play idea....I'm just really tired of posts veiled in a plea for help, but in reality are asking for someone to do the work.
If this is not what you intended, sorry.......it just gets old.
you said:

THAT is what your post should have said.......that is much clearer
Why don't you post what you have? That way we could ALL help.
Nah. Posting the work would not be a smart idea. The work isnt't copyrighted at this stage. Any random person could come along and steal the ideas and not face any liability. I wouldn't mind posting my work but there are people around who may misuse it (not on the board but random trolls and such).
Well how are we supposed to help? Maybe just a synopsis?
SirLiir makes an excellent point...without copyright, you are open to problems....a synopsis makes sense as Sueleen says....
I would also suggest a fairly in-depth synopsis.
Another choice would be to post the entire novel but change a few key points (character's names, locations, etc). That would prevent someone using your ideas.

All I want to say is kudos for being so determined, writing a novel is a big goal!

I'm surprised an author with two books published like SirLiir doesn't know that by putting a c with a circle around it and mailing one's self a sealed copy of the manuscript with a visible post date on it is all one needs.
Now, I'm back to working on my latest novel, "Memoirs of a Harajuku Girl."

Well, MY FAIR LADY, I'm miffed! I was trying to help you--as you may know, I've been writing my autobiography for some time. Right now I'm shopping around EVERY OTHER INCH A VIRGIN for a publisher. It has "Blockbuster" written all over it!
