matthew, have you tried changing the name of the photo and/or making sure it is a jpg?

This worked for me. Delete the existing one and then upload. I didn't get the error message at first this morning just a blank screen after hitting upload. Or behind the scenes someone was fixing something this morning.

okay, the false advertising in the title of this thread led me to think it was safe to change avs. i did. got an error message and now i have the avatar to the left. it's not one that i uploaded. freaky!?! where did it come from?
